A photographic postcard of Ruth Comer, née Anderson, dressed patriotically as Britannia, circa 1916.

Comer is standing holding a trident symbolising the naval power of Britain. She wears the traditional white robes used to depict Britannia and a Corinthian helmet. In front of her she supports a shield decorated with the British Union Flag or Union Jack.
