Brief Description
Rugby programme for the match between the British Isles and Hawke’s Bay held at McLean Park, Napier, 2.30pm on 6 July 1983.

The British Isles or Lions as they are more commonly referred to are a test side team made up of players from the national teams of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. The team beat Hawke's Bay 25-19, and won the majority of the games against the provincial teams on their tour, but lost the test series against New Zealand's All Blacks.

The programme features advertisements of local businesses, articles on the two sides and brief biographies of the Lions' players. The names of the players are listed on the centrefold pages, as are the teams that played the curtain-raiser games.
