About this object
A side profile photograph of 1962 Gown of the Year winner, Tosca, designed by Roswitha Robertson of Havelock North and worn by Colleen Tait, 1961 Hastings Blossom Festival Queen. The gown, constructed in rich ruby satin cuffed with black velvet trim which also lined the flowing train, was embroidered with rhinestones and multi-coloured stones imported from Europe. The photograph has been taken outdoors in a garden or park.
