About this object
Black and white studio portrait of the Napier Reconstruction Committee. The Napier Reconstruction Committee, an organisation with representatives from local authorities, business and the professions, was established after the 1931 Hawke's Bay earthquake to investigate the numerous reconstruction needs in the local district. The photograph is contained in an A B Hurst photograph folder. Glued inside the front cover is a typed list of the names of the committee members as follows:
