About this object
The photograph shows members of the Absolom family planting a kowhai tree beside the memorial plaque at Omatua, on the 60th anniversary of the Rissington Country Women's Institute in February, 1981. Standing behind them (centre) is CWI Gold Honours member Catherine Downes, who, as Catherine Crosse, visited Omatua as a young girl.

The photograph is housed in a scrapbook titled: History of Rissington Country Women's Institute.
