Workers in the solo mutton slaughterhouse at the Hawke's Bay Farmers' Meat Company freezing works at Whakatū.
Freezing workers with sheep carcasses at the freezing works at Whakatu, Hastings district. Identified in the photograph are Tom Cunningham, the man sixth from right wearing a striped singlet. Behind him is John (Jack) Palmer. The photograph was taken between 1919 and circa 1921.
