About this object
Wedding guests are pictured waiting outside a side entrance at the home of the bride's parent's on the wedding day of Miss Nancy Russell, daughter of Mrs and Mrs Harold Russell, and Lieutenant Henry Holmes, RN of HMS Philomel. The property, known as Little Flaxmere, was the location of the wedding reception. The marriage took place at St Matthew's Church, Hastings on 22 April 1931. A bridal car can be seen at left and guest's cars are parked on a lawn opposite the house.
