A view of Clive as seen from the southern exit of the Clive bridge. A car with the number plate 113, is parked at right, near the approach to the bridge. A Vacuum Oil Proprietary Company Limited vehicle can be seen on the left side of the street, entering the road. The plinth of the Clive war memorial, damaged by the 1931 Hawke's Bay earthquake, is visible at centre right. A small building, seen at right, displays a sign that reads: West Clive Hotel.
