About this object
A high angle view taken from the hill behind St Paul's Presbyterian Church shows damage caused to the central business district in Napier by the 1931 Hawke's Bay earthquake. The roads have been cleared but rubble remains on some of the sites. The Public Trust building can be seen at centre right and there are vehicles and people on the roads. The E & D building and Dalgety's building are visible on Dalton Street.
