About this object
Photograph of a traction engine. A metal plaque on the machine states that it was made in England by John Fowler & Co, Leeds. The traction engine belonged to the Newrick brothers, Jimmy [James] and Frederick.

Part of a collection of glass plate negatives held by Malcolm Newrick's family. The photograph was possibly taken by Malcolm's younger brother Frederick Charles Newrick, who worked as a professional photographer.
