About this object
Photograph of people, mainly women and children, gathered around an Ocean Wave children's amusement ride. The photograph may have been taken at the St Andrew’s Church Garden Fete, which was held at Emily Newrick’s home on the corner of Havelock and Riverslea Road in Hastings, on 18 Mar 1911.
Part of a collection of glass plate negatives held by Malcolm Newrick's family. The photograph was possibly taken by Malcolm's younger brother Frederick Charles Newrick, who worked as a professional photographer.
