About this object
Photograph of a group of people having a picnic. They are possibly Newrick or Collins family members. Several men wear straw boaters. Four of the five women wear large picture hats. The woman seated in the centre of the image has a plate of food on her lap. Bicycles and buggies are visible in the background. The photograph may have been taken at Homewood Station in Otane, home of the Collins family.

Part of a collection of glass plate negatives held by Malcom Newrick's family. The photograph was possibly taken by Malcolm Newrick's brother Frederick Charles Newrick, who worked as a professional photographer.
