About this object
Photograph of The National Dairy Association's Arch in Lambton Quay, Wellington. The large decorated archway spans the street and features a sign that reads: The National Dairy Association of N.Z. Welcomes The Duke & Duchess of Cornwall & York. A sign above the arch features a rooster and reads: Defiance Butter Beats Them All. Flagpoles are visible along Lambton Quay and there is a single tram line down the centre of the road. The celebrations were held for the visit by the Prince of Wales in 1920.
