About this object
Photograph of two unidentified women standing beside an aeroplane. The women obscure part of the registration number that begins with the letters VH. Visible on the back of the aeroplane is the name: Southern Cross. The aeroplane is likely to be that of aviator, Sir Charles Kingsford Smith. The Southern Cross, carried the registration number VH-USU in the early to mid 1930s.
