About this object
Rear view of a horse drawn float outside the Arcade Building on Marine Parade. A number of large flags are attached to the top of the float, and signs along the base promote the benefits of gas cooking and heating. The float is possibly linked to the Napier Gas Company. Undated, but the references to war suggest it is mid to late 1910s.
