Brief Description
Humorous postcard illustrated by cartoonist David Henry Souter depicting a woman dressed in the Edwardian style, holding an umbrella or parasol, and hitching up her skirt to reveal her ankles. The caption reads: No wonder they wanted rain!
On the back is a message addressed to J A L [Louis] Hay, Architectural Draughtsman, Napier, from R V Parker, Survey Office, Dunedin. The message reads: Anxiously awaiting your little contribution re our friend Saunders. They are getting hard pressed and have to use the window.
