Brief Description
Letter to J A Louis Hay in Dunedin from his father James Hay in Sealy Road, Napier, dated 27 September 1901. James says Mr Finch [architect] offered to provide Louis with work, but on learning that Louis' prospects were good in Dunedin, advised him to stay there. Included in the letter is the news that the Albion Hotel has burnt down, and that a woollen factory is to be built in Napier at Onepoto Gully. James also mentions attending a function for visiting MPs at the workingmen's club.
