About this object
The photograph, taken immediately after the Hawke's Bay earthquake on the morning of 3rd February 1931, shows the damaged Wesley Methodist Church building in Hastings. Fallen masonry blocks the footpath. A man and two women stand in the road in front of the church. The woman in the centre is identified as Githa.
