The glass plate negative image shows the interior view of St Matthew's Anglican Church in Hastings. The Union Jack and the New Zealand flag are hung from opposite sides of the wooden rafters. Hassocks hang from hooks along the pews. A collection box sits beside copies of the Church Gazette.
