Brief Description
A caricature print titled: Some of the boys on Hastings Street, Marine Parade and elsewhere. The sketch portrays significant figures in Napier's political and social history including John Vigor-Brown, Sir William Russell, William Dinwiddie and the artist himself, E F (Fred) Hiscocks.
Those also featured in the sketch are: A L D Fraser, A B Gibson, W Wallace, J Hughes, C Paris, F Moeller, A Muirhead, Paton, J Johnston, A E Renouf, H V Williams, Val Hoadley, Dean Hovell, F Logan and Paddy McLaughlin, C H McLean, Fred Sutton, J Hindmarsh, A Barnes and E Knowles.
The print was displayed on the wall of the Napier Club for many years.
The same caricatures appear in Hiscock's satirical 1905 publication Saints and Sinners.
