Brief Description
a) Letter to Molly Hamlin from her brother, Private Henry Hamlin, 2 NZEF, Middle East Forces, dated 20th April 1942. Written on YMCA letterhead and noted as On Active Service.
Henry is concerned about his parents following Percy's death [RNZAF Sergeant Percy Hamlin was killed in an aircraft accident on 17th February 1942]. He has written to the NZ High Commission regarding Percy's belongings, and the family is yet to decide whether to pay off his home. He trusts that Molly received the cable informing her to collect the morse key and sounder from Colin Goldsmith.
b) Envelope addressed to Miss Molly Hamlin c/o Mrs C Hamlin, 22 Havelock Road, Napier. Postmarked Egypt with date 22 April 1942. Written at top of envelope is: On Active Service.
