Brief Description
Letter from Percy Hamlin, 19 Stafford St, Riccarton, Christchurch, to his sister Molly in Napier, written on a hired typewriter. Percy thanks Molly for the woollen pullover she gave him which keeps him nice and warm. Board and washing is easier to find, and the girls here wear less powder and paint compared with those in Wellington. He has seen Pygmalion twice and enjoyed it both times. Percy suggests Molly try Zambuk for her injured knee.
The letter is enclosed in a pale green envelope addressed to Miss M. Hamlin, 22 Havelock Road, Napier N.I, postmarked Christchurch with the date 5 June 1939.
