Brief Description
In 1981 the Commission for the Environment, on behalf of the New Zealand Committee on Pollution of the Sea by Oil, collated information on the New Zealand coast and coastal resources, classifying areas according to their sensitivity to oil pollution. Includes 15 A2 size maps along with descriptions of each area in terms of physical characteristics, ecosystems, economic resources, recreational uses and historical resources.
The atlas includes two images showing details of a mural by Para Matchitt and Cliff Whiting in the Cape Runaway meeting house.
