Brief Description
The letter, written on Presbyterian Church of New Zealand letterhead paper and dated 22nd March, 1946 is from Reverend J G Laughton, Whakatane to Miss M Webster, Mission House, Maungapohatu.
The letter is regarding Marjorie Webster's return to Christchurch following a three month placement at Maungapōhatu, Te Urewera to gain experience on the Māori Mission Field. He thanks her for the help she has given and hopes that she will spread some knowledge of the work of the Presbyterian Māori Mission to deepen the interest of people in her hometown, and also asks that at some stage she return to give a longer term of service. He informs her of an enclosed cheque for travel expenses and also states: Unfortunately, I was absent when Te Heuheu called here.
