Brief Description
New Zealand Army Expeditionary Force Rifle Brigade Christmas card in the form of a small booklet tied with ribbons of black and green, the colours traditionally associated with rifle regiments. The cover is printed with the Battalion crest consisting of a rampant lion and the motto, Soyes Ferme. Inside is the greeting: With Best Wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, signed by Jim Hellyer. The next two pages feature reproduced photographs of a dog called Freda, the Regimental mascot, and a high angle view of a military camp with the caption: Temporary Resting Place of the N.Z.R.B.
