Brief Description
Christmas card received by Henrietta Brady and family during World War One. The card is printed with: Greetings from NZ Anzac Mounted Division, Xmas 1917, and shows a military crest for Australian Commonwealth and New Zealand Forces.
Inside right has a printed cartoon depicting two soldiers wearing sandwich boards advertising Fray Bentos Corned Beef and H & P (Huntley and Palmers) Biscuits. Handwritten in pencil beside the image is: Our present Xmas fare, Bully and Biscuits.
Below the image is the printed greeting: A Dinkum Xmas 1917.
Inside left has a printed list of First World War battle locations: Egypt 1914, Gallipoli 1915, Sinai 1916, Palestine 1917.
The handwritten message reads: From Roy, To Hett and rest of family, with best wishes 28 November 1917. We all hope you are enjoying a good duff(?) by Xmas 1918.
