Message reads: My dear Hett, Just a line or two to let you know that I received two of your most welcome letters. Now Hett there is something doing around our way lately by all accounts. By heavens Hett I wouldn't mind being at some of those dances that you have been having lately. Now I think I have wrote every week since I have (left) NZ so there must be some mail somewhere but you will get it in time. Now Hett space is short so I will close hoping you and the rest of the family are in perfect health as I am at present. 11807, my number, remember me to all the (?), from your loving cousin Peat.
