Brief Description
Postcard showing buildings in ruins after the bombing of Albert (Somme) during World War One.
Sent to Henrietta Brady of Clive from her cousin Peter Brady who served with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force in World War One.
Dated Monday November 27, 1916.
Message reads: My dear Hett, I have the pleasure of writing you few more lines to let you know that I am still in the land of the living. Well Hett things are just about the same as when I wrote last only we have shifted out of the billets into the camp(?). The main thing about this we get plenty of scran? And clothes. I must say this much about the army that they do look after the (continued on next card [94971])
