Brief Description
Photographic postcard of Kandy, The Mountain Capital of Ceylon (now Sri Lanka)
Sent to Henrietta Brady of Clive from her cousin Peter Brady who served with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force in World War One.
Message reads: I thought myself things would be very cheap but I got the shock of my life, they are just as dear here as what they are in New Zealand. There are very few white people here. All the places here are run by darkies, but it is there (sic) home by all accounts. Wow Hett I could write for a week about the place but space is limited so I will close, hoping you and all the rest are in the best of health so it is leaves me here at present, from your loving cousin Peat. We had three days in Colombo. But we could not get off to go about the town (?) all the time. Good Luck, Good bye.

Displayed in an album compiled by Henrietta Brady.
