About this object
Portrait of Māori woman Aorangi Pohe of Ngāti Kahungunu, Ngāti Whatuiāpiti, Ngāti Papatuamārā descent. She wears a woven korowai (cloak) adorned with fringe and hukahuka (tassels), and has a peacock feather in her hair. Around her neck is a large pounamu pendant.

Date unknown, probably late 1910s/early 1920s.
