About this object
The photograph shows a high angle view of the deck of a battleship moored at a wharf in either Auckland or Wellington. Two women stand in the foreground and there are numerous other visitors on board. The ship is probably the Royal Navy battle cruiser HMS Hood that visited New Zealand in 1924.
The image is displayed in an album that belonged to Nora Brebner née Nicol.
