About this object
The photograph has been taken on board the Muritai and shows a partial view of the ship, and a smaller boat - the lighter Kiritona - alongside the vessel as it approaches land. The Muritai operated as a ferry between Eastbourne and Wellington in the 1920s and 1930s.
