About this object
The slide shows the Furnware beehive float in the 1960 Hastings Blossom Festival parade. A young girl wearing a crown sits on a throne at the front of the float which features a large model bee emerging from a beehive. Spectators are dressed to protect themselves from the rain which forced postponement of the 10am parade until 2pm. A man is taking a photograph of the float.
