About this object
The slide shows the Gee Motors float - number 109 - passing the Hawke's Bay Club building (designed by Walter Finch) on the corner of Browning Street and Marine Parade during the 1958 Hawke's Bay Centennial procession in Napier. The float is a large pink swan constructed from crepe paper blossoms, and a young girl sits on its back holding the reins. The Napier Deerstalkers' Association float is visible in the background.
