Brief Description
a) Letter to Mabel Ward from her brother Robert Ward who is staying at the Empire Hotel, Napier. The letter is dated 11th November 1914 and follows the death of their father John Patrick Ward at Napier Hospital. The letter describes the funeral and burial service, including contributions from the Hawke's Bay Veterans' Association.
b) Envelope addressed to Miss Ward, The School Maharahara West, Maharahara.
Both envelope and letter have a black border signifying the death of a close relative.
