About this object
The glass plate negative shows the breastwork at Port Ahuriri. Murray Roberts & Co's building can be seen near the steamers tied up at the wharf. There is a boat in the foreground.
In Album 27 there is a contact print taken from the glass plate negative. Underneath the photograph is written: Port Ahuriri. Breastwork. "Australia", "Kawatiri". These refer to the two steamers tied up to the wharf.
