About this object
The image from the glass plate negative shows an accommodation house at Te Pohue, on the Napier - Taupo Road. There is the framework of another structure directly behind the building which indicates that the house is probably being extended. The small structure in the middle of the photograph is an outdoor toilet and there is a shed on the left with a horse tied up to a fence.
In Album 27 there is a contact print taken from the glass plate negative. Underneath the photograph is written: King's Accommodation House, Pohui [Te Pohue].
.
Photographer, probably Russell Duncan.
