The photograph shows the Victoria Hotel, Napier. There are four women standing on the porch of the hotel, one of whom is holding a baby. In the foreground is a horse and buggy on which a woman is seated. A man is leaning against the buggy, the back of which contains crates of bottles. The owner of the hotel was Alex Morrison.
The photograph has been scanned from a glass plate negative.

Date, probably 1893/1894. Morrison was the owner of the Victoria Hotel from 1893 - 1894.
