The Dominion newspaper, Wednesday 4 February 1931.
The newspaper is incomplete and is comprised of pages 9 - 12 which feature an article titled: Where the Earthquake Struck: Scenes of Napier and Hastings Earthquake and Fire Cause Destruction. The first page shows photographs of the Napier and Hastings before the earthquake. The second page gives a brief description of the earthquake along with a message from Prime Minister George Forbes. Pages 11 and 12 describe in depth the earthquake and its effects on people. There is also a list of Hastings deaths and casualties.
