The photograph shows the damage caused by the 3 February 1931 Hawke's Bay earthquake to buildings at Port Ahuriri, Napier. The photograph has been taken from Bluff Hill looking over the small township and across to Westshore. Underneath the photograph Ernest Sinclair has written: Panoramic Views of Port Ahuriri.
