About this object
The photograph shows the damage caused by the 3 February 1931 Hawke's Bay earthquake to a building on Breakwater Road, Napier. Part of Bluff Hill has slipped away, and debris has covered the back of a building. Underneath the photograph Ernest Sinclair has written: Fall of earth - at rear of Railway Station. The railway line is associated with the Port.
