About this object
The photograph shows the damage caused by the 3 February 1931 Hawke's Bay earthquake to a wooden house situated on the top of Bluff Hill, Napier. The house belongs to the Geddis family. The roof and walls have caved in. A caption written underneath the photograph reads: Gedde's [sic] House overlooking Bluff Hill, Close ups.
