About this object
The photograph shows the devastation caused by the 3 February 1931 Hawke's Bay earthquake and subsequent fire, to the Hannah's buildings at the corner of Browning and Hastings Streets. Only the façade of the building remains standing. Ernest Sinclair has written underneath the photograph: Hannah's Buildings.
