About this object
The photograph shows the devastation caused by the 3 February 1931 Hawke's Bay earthquake and subsequent fire, to the business area of Napier. The corner of Clive Square and Tin Town can be seen on the extreme right of the photograph. Emerson Street is in the foreground. Ernest Sinclair has written underneath the photograph: Panoramic snaps of Napier Central.
