About this object
The cartoon shows a man in a drainpipe. Underneath is written: Inspector Sinclair inspects a drain-pipe in the earthquake area after one glass of parsnip wine.

Ernest Sinclair was a Health Inspector who was sent to Napier after 3 February 1931 Hawke's Bay earthquake. Noel Simmons was his work colleague and friend.
