About this object
The photograph is of Maud Donnelly and Frank Perry's wedding group. Maud was the daughter of Airini and George Donnelly. The wedding was held at Crissoge, Omāhu and the Bishop of Waiapu, William Leonard Williams, known as Leonard, performed the service. Maud is in the centre and standing next to her is Frank. Both are wearing their going away outfits. The bridesmaids were two sisters whose surname was Hoadley and the pages were, on the left Master Troutbeck and on the right, Wi Kaurauria. The Hoadley sisters and Master Troutbeck have not been given Christian names but it is likely the girl on the left of George is Nina and to the right is Val. Between Maud and one of the Hoadley sisters is Percy Perry, Frank's brother, who was support person. George Prior Donnelly, Maud's father, is standing on the left wearing a long coat and top hat.

My great grandmother was Marie Donnelly, married Charles Bonfield Hoadley. She was George Prior Donnelly’s youngest sister.

I am related to the two Hoadley Sisters who were both bridesmaids at this wedding and who feature in several of the photos. My grandfather was Valentine Hoadley the nephew of GP Donnelly and my father was Val’s son.
