About this object
Photograph of a group of people having a tea-party. The photograph is loose in Leo Bestall's diary and album. On the reverse he has written: The celebrated tea-party at Eel Pie Island. In a letter to his mother written on 25 August 1917, Leo records that he and Mac went to Eel Pie Island with two girls who called themselves Jack and Jill.
