About this object
The photograph shows High Street, Croydon lined with shops. A tram line can be seen in the middle of the road. The photograph is glued to a page in Leo Bestall's diary and album. He has written at the bottom of the photograph: One of the first things I saw in Croydon was a small boy carrying a large tin of Glaxo. Leo documented his visit to Croydon on 23 June 1916.
