About this object
The photograph shows a view coming up to Plymouth Sound from on board the S.S. Nile. The photograph is glued to a page in Leo Bestall's diary and album. Underneath it he has written: Two views coming up Plymouth Sound. An island and unidentified sailing vessel are visible in the centre of the image. Leo Bestall was on the S.S. Nile which carried the New Zealand troops from Alexandria to Devonport, England.
