About this object
The photograph shows H.M.N.Z.T. Maunganui's troops disembarking at Albany, Western Australia. Men are standing in formation in front of the vessel. The photograph is glued to a page in Leo Bestall's diary and album. He has written under the photograph: Albany - The Manganui's (sic) troops disembark for route march. H.M.N.Z.T. Maunganui transported the 11th Reinforcements, New Zealand Expeditionary Force during World War I. The lifeboats of the vessel can be seen along the top of the photograph.
